May 7th, 2024 (Day 10) We started off with breakfast in the Windjammer at about 10 a.m., a rather late start due to the weather watching from the previous night. We were able to get off the ship today since it was a port call in La Coruna, Spain at about 12:30 p.m. and made our way to the beach. So one of the things you have to keep in mind is Spain's beaches are topless... All the pictures are safe. We walked about 2 miles to the Tower of Hercules, the oldest known Roman lighthouse, dating back to the 1st century and still operating today. After a walk around the lighthouse, we returned to the ship to relax our backs since we both were aching a bit. We walked about 5.6 miles in all, some of it steep uphill. Due to the short port day, we didn't do too much other sightseeing, but we were excited about London coming up this weekend.
